Winds of war, part 5: It used to make me fall asleep when it aired in the eighties...thank goodness for fast-forwarding. It's...terribly earnest and a bit slow, and marred by occasional race/ethnicity/size-fail.
I find the universally loathed Ali McGraw to be by far the least annoying of the too-old actors, and Polly Bergen as Pug's shallow, alcoholic, cheating wife Rhoda is a hoot. (She seems to be about the right age, too.)
Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, season 1,episode 1-3: Don't care about the action sequences (or, at this stage, the bigger arc), but the dysfunctional family-vibe between Sarah, John and Cameron is both fascinating and funny. I don't feel fannish about it (yet?) but it's nice to see some genre tv again.
