More Arthuriana
Nov. 11th, 2009 08:37 pmThings I recently learned:
Corbenic, ancestral home of Elaine (the Grail Maiden, who had a relationship with Lancelot that was pretty skeevy, but not quite as skeevy as his relationship to Elaine of Astolat, because nothing beats that) is actually the same place as Caerbannog, home of the Killer Rabbit. (Wikipedia says so, so it must be true.)
There should be Tales of the Lady Elaine and her trusty Killer Rabbit. I'm just saying.
Also, it turns out that Sir Perceval had a sister, who temporarily followed him, Galahad and Bors on their Grail Quest. She doesn't seem to have had a name, and she dies because of the weirdest PSA ever (don't donate blood!), but still YAY girls joining the shiny roadtrip of shinyness!
Browsed through Guy Gavriel Kay's The Darkest Road at the library last night, and verily, this is the stuff that The Tough Guide to Fantasyland is made of, but GGK surely can bring the Arthur/Guinevere/Lancelot OT3.
( Merlin-stuff, including spoiler for next episode )
