Finally saw Prince Caspian.
I...I just want to hug this movie, it was so adorable.
* I never would have thought it, but Trumpkin is my new fantasy boyfriend. (Though given my weakness for bearded guys of unconventional height, maybe it's not that surprising.)
* Though Caspian and the Pevensies were...not bad looking.
* Did this movie make me care about Peter a bit? Really?
* Lucy/Aslan=OTP
* One thing that I didn't like was the battle would.never.end. (I'm kind of torn about the lack of Bacchus, menads, schoolgirls named Gwendolen and fat little boys who are turned into pigs.)
* And the pop song at the end was really misplaced.
* I loved the visuals. Especially the dryad, and the scene towards the end with Susan and Peter walking beside Aslan.)
* I'm feeling torn about the prospect of more films. On one hand, there are little bits in all of the books (even TLB) that I would love to see on screen, on the other hand there are huge chunks that really, really don't want.
* I feel a sudden urge to read Caspian/Peter. I suspect it will pass.
And then I saw the ER-episode where Benton shows up at Carter's not-death bed, and there also is Doug and Carol.
And that's why I didn't get anything useful done this evening.
