The same reasons as most of the book bannings out there:
- Religious beliefs getting in the way of basic reading comprehension, and therefore the Book Banners thinking innocent child's play = satanism. (See also: Laura Mallory.)
- Protective, old fashioned parents who can't be bothered to monitor what their kids read themselves, so they leave it up to people who have more important things to worry about. (Again, see also: Laura Mallory.)
